Both of his parents were highly respected Earthkin soldiers, and were vital in the efforts to defend the city. When Bart was six years old, his parents were killed while on a reconnaissance mission near Gigas. Bart was understandably devastated by the news. Luckily though, he had more family, and was raised from then on by his older brother, and a dear family friend who happened to be a retired soldier himself (both remaining nameless despite the fact that no one will ever play them). They gave him the best life they could, and always hoped he would one day lead their city to greatness as a powerful soldier. And... Well, he became a powerful soldier, at least. He didn't take to studies too much, but he did display the abilities of an enlightened, much like his parents, from an early age. And when he was finally of age, he entered the Earthkin forces, and headed to the front lines of battle. For a while, he fought valiantly, until he was involved in an accident that took one of his eyes. Because of the severity of his injury, he was sent off to Union city once he recovered. Depth perception is apparently more important in battle than in delving. powers |
